Cape Chamonix is a small estate in Franschhoek, whose wines are limited in production and highly sought after. Winemaker Gottfried Mocke likes to make organic wines in a natural fashion and never adds yeasts or acidifies his wines, reflecting the personality of each vintage.
Intense aroma of ripe apples and pears with a hint of herbs and tropical fruit. Bright and steely in flavour, the grapefruit and spice sensations are buoyed by zesty acidity that refreshes the palate through a smooth finish.
Serious style of Sauvignon made in a dry, mineral style. 10% Semillon gives some richness and some barrel ageing to add complexity.

“Wonderfully toasty and intense with lovely grapefruit and herb character. Fresh and quite complex. Subtly toasty and a bit nutty with some appealing grassy notes. 91/100 (10/10)” – Wineanorak.com
