Domaine Du Pech

Domaine Du Pech, Le Pech Abuse 2016

Domaine Du Pech is situated on the slopes of Sainte-Colombe-en-Bruilhois in the extreme south east of the appellation. Viticulture is biodynamic and no fertilisers have been used for twenty years, while only natural yeasts are used and the wines are bottled without filtration. This has produced a wine composed of Merlot (40%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) and Cabernet Franc (30%) that have striking prune and leather aromas.

TASTING NOTES
The wine is intensely savoury with flavoursome notes of wood smoke, leather and prune. There is a silkiness and finesse about this wine that is seen at its best when decanted for a few hours beforehand.

REVIEWS & AWARDS
“Le Pech Abuse, a vin de table, is a play on words since this wine was refused appellation status because it is atypical. It’s a delicious Bordeaux style blend thus can only be described as a Vin de Table.”

This wine is from a certified producer.
