This is a single vineyard Muscadet that we were introduced to at the Real Wine Fair month last year. It has a concentration and zesty freshness to it that makes it a wonderful accompaniment to shellfish and any white fish too. It also has distinctly fruity mid palate flavours of crisp apples and fresh pear as well as the typical yeasty edge of Muscadet that has been matured over the winter. A biodynamic wine to savour in some fine warm weather.
The fruit in this wine is full with more intense flavours (grapefruit, white peach, green pepper stalks), vibrant, citrus notes.
REVIEWS & AWARDS
“Lovely firm style on the nose, rich in vibrantly salty mineral character. Despite this obvious substance and backbone it has a very full and rounded style on the palate, quite softly integrated at first, the grip and structure really coming in only through the mid-palate. A really impressive substance here, although this is still very youthful. Great vibrancy and a bitter, pithy, grapefruit bite in the finish really add to the appeal. Excellent.” – The Wine Doctor.
