Can Mayol, bottling under the name ‘Loxarel’, is a winery that has been farming organically for over ten years. They have recently embraced the use of biodynamic practises, and some of their wines are produced using this technique – the Xarello is one such variety. The wine is fermented in huge amphoras using yeast grown on the Loxarel vineyards, then rests in the same containers for five months.
This wine is marvellously fresh, with elegant notes and good minerality. It’s a very varietal offering that goes incredibly well with Mediterranean dishes. Herbaceous on the nose, you’ll also note scents of white ripe fruit. The palate is creamy with great mouthfeel.
Made from Xarello this wine has an herbaceous nose with scents of white fruit. On the palate it is full, bright and mineral with elegant notes and pure citrus fruits.
