Bindi’s 2008 Composition is a shining example of the understated, gentle and elegant aspects of young pinot noir. It’s a terrific earlier drinking pinot for those who truly appreciate the more subtle characteristics of the variety.
Pale colour – a little cloudy. Beautifully aromatic with warm cherry and spice notes on the palate, some sweetness, and a hint of leafy greenness. Very fresh and supple. Beautiful stuff. 93/100 Wine Anorak.
Fragrance of red cherry and musk enlivened by additional notes of earth/game meats and spice. It evolves with developing savoury characters and brisk, ultra-fine structure towards a pleasingly dry finish marked by fluffy fruit undertones.
