Very bright in colour, this Merlot dominated organic wine displays light floral notes. Huge power and very ripe fruit deliver enormous tannins through to the finish. Famed wine consultant Michel Rolland is the owner – his main influence in this Chateau and his judgment has produced a well-made wine that is a great reflection of the terroir.
A sumptuous blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, blackcurrant and blackberry fruit flavours lead to a long smooth finish with hints of oak spice and mocha chocolate.
REVIEWS & AWARDS
“The Rolland family’s Lalande de Pomerol estate, Bertineau St.-Vincent is typically made in a forward, fruity, delicious style. The dark ruby-colored 2005 boasts plenty of chocolate, berry fruit, and spice characteristics along with a luscious, hedonistic texture. It should drink nicely for 3-5 years.” – Robert Parker – April 2008
