Trinchero is a Piemonte estate run by brothers Renato & Ezio Trinchera, they produce wonderful wines from low yielding vines, minimal intervention is key along with natural fermentation.
Hailing from organically farmed vineyards, the baby Barbera is from 20 year old vines with the grapes fermented in cement tanks and matured in old Slavonian oak barrels for another 12 months before bottling.
This is a fresh and fruity Barbera, sour red cherry , raspberry with hints of sweet spice and chocolate, beautiful natural acidity it’s a wonderfully expressive wine best enjoyed with all manner of foods, medium bodied with a lively and wonderful finish.
