Pinot Noir is a very popular wine to both produce and drink, despite the fact it’s quite a difficult grape to cultivate and use in viticulture. Whilst it is now grown on a worldwide scale, its real home is the Burgundy region of France. Its recent rise in demand may be attributed to the fact it’s lighter than other varieties of red wine, and has thus benefited from a change in drinking trend towards more restrained varieties with a lower ABV.
