Colour: White
Roussanne is a white wine grape which is often blended with Marsanne. It is a staple of the Rhone region, and enjoys joint exclusive growth in the northern appellations of Crozes-Hermitage AOC, Hermitage AOC and Saint-Joseph AOC. When ripe, the grapes are a distinctive russet colour and have an aroma of herbal tea. Roussanne is quite a difficult grape to grow, but persistence and the right conditions are rewarded with very drinkable wines.
