Abbe Rous, Reserve des Penintres AOP Collioure Rouge 2019

Born from a terraced millenary vineyard surrounding the Mediterranean...

TERROIR

The Collioure vineyard is located in Roussillon in the far South of France, between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. Vines are planted on schist slopes, stretching from the inland valley up to terraces overlooking the sea.

GRAPE VARIETIES

Grenache noir 80% - Mourvèdre 15% - Syrah 5%

WINEMAKING

Hand harvest in small buckets. Cold soaking for 24h prior crushing the grapes. Maceration at 25°C for 20 days. Aging in stainless steel vats for 8 months on its own lees.

TASTING NOTES

Lively red colour. Nose of red berries, blueberry and peppery notes. On the palate, the wine is elegant, rich, with ripe dark fruit aromas and silky soft tannins.
