Brother and sister team Gian Lugi & Allessandera Bera are at the helm of this small but exceptional Piemonte estate, farming 12 hectares they produce some remarkable Barbera and Moscato D’Asti.
All of the estate is farmed organically and has been certified since 2000, all the wines are produced entirely naturally.
In short all the wines are not only superb but positively good for you!
TASTING NOTES
This Barbera has a rich layer of dark baked fruits and spiciness together with the lively freshness typical of the grape variety, it’s unfiltered, somewhat quirky, and altogether seductive,
fermented in cement tanks, is true to type with varietal notes of mulberry, cherry-soda, balsam and mint and faint traces of liquorice on a sour cherry palate that is just great fun…
REVIEWS & AWARDS
“This natural wine undergoes its malolactic in the bottle; do not be surprised to get a Lambrusco-style tongue-prickling epiphany. This unpredictable red is a party in the glass, vinous space dust!”
