Category: 14.5% ABV, Biodynamic, France, Grenache Noir, Mas de Libian, Natural, Rhone Valley, Syrah
The Mas de Libian is quite a remarkable winery. It has been owned by the same family for few generations – since 1670 it has been producing remarkable wines that are recognised worldwide. Recently, Hélène Thibon took over the leadership at the winery. Her goal was to develop the estate. Under her wise control Mas de Libian started to estate bottle their natural wines rather then selling them to local wineries. Thibon is a young winemaker, who employs biodynamic and organic methods of farming; everything she does is with a view towards preserving her vineyards, which are the family’s heritage.
TASTING NOTES
There are plenty of concentrated, sweet, juicy, black fruits, especially black cherry, peppery spice and liquorice on both nose and palate.
