The Rioja Reserva is a fantastic organic blend of 85% Tempranillo with Graciano and comes from a rigorous selection of grapes from 2 older vineyard parcels. It as spent 24 months in French and American oak.
The wine is intended to express the character of the best Reserva wines of years gone by. Big structure, perhaps a bit more showy; than the other Grimons wines but in no way as oaky and confected as many a modern Rioja. A wine designed to cellar for many years which can also be enjoyed now.
TASTING NOTES
This Reserva Rioja is well structured with prominent oak flavours from its ageing. Dense plummy fruit and a good tannic structure are the hallmarks of this deep red coloured wine.
